Now on Cara!

I'm excited to announce that I've finally setup a page on Cara! I'm still on Instagram as well, but I'm really getting frustrated with that platform and frankly hate their promotion of AI on the site. So, I've started migrating everything over to Cara and would love to connect with you over there if you happen to have an account also. Besides the AI fiasco and distrust of whether Instagram is stealing people's photographs to train their own AI (which it looks like they are from their recent policy changes), it's also just gotten almost impossible to use. Their algorithm continues to push what they think you want to see (or, more specically, what they think you should see whether you want to or not) and making it harder and harder to you to actually see the pages you are following. 

I've been on Cara for some time now with my digital art, but have been waiting until I saw the site expanding into other artforms besides what it started with (artwork relating to the entertainment industry as a reaction to ArtStation's lack of action agains AI) so I was really excited when I started seeing jewellery, crochet, and other creative work showing up on the site.

Oh! And as a heads up, I'm also considering setting up a page for my jewellery and general blogging about vintage/antique jewellery, jewellery history, gems, rockhounding, and the like on Substack! For anyone interested, I've already switched my author newsletter over to the platform, but I'm strongly considering migrating my other work over there too (partly in reaction to social media sites like Facebook suppressing post reaches, and partly because of the mess going on over on Patreon right now). I'm still kinda stuck on a name for it though, but two possible contenders are I Might Be a Dragon (because of my gem hoarding endencies) and Lady of the Rings. Which do you like best? Or, do you have another fantesy-esque blog name that's suitable for a jeweller/almost gemologist/rockhound/gem-hoarder that specializes in historical and fantasy inspired designs?
